BulletApply ("we") builds tailored, one-page resumes from a master resume you give us. This page explains what we collect, what we do with it and who else handles it. By using BulletApply you agree to it.
What we collect
- Your account: email address, name and sign-in details, handled by our authentication provider (Clerk).
- Your master resume: the resume you upload and everything you add or edit, which usually includes your name, contact details, education, work history and skills.
- Job postings you tailor to: the job description, title, company and page address the extension reads when you click Tailor.
- What we generate for you: tailored resumes, fit checks, coach questions and drafts, along with how each part of your resume was scored and chosen.
- Purchases and credits: which packs you bought and how you used your credits. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details.
- Basic technical data, like request logs and error reports, that our hosting providers record when you use the site, the API or the extension.
What the Chrome extension reads
The extension only reads the page you are on when you open it and click Tailor, to find the job description, and sends it to BulletApply. It does not track your browsing, and it does not read any other page or tab. It stores a token that links it to your account, which you can disconnect at any time.
How we use it
- To provide the service: build your master resume, choose the most relevant parts of it for each job and produce the PDF.
- To support, debug and improve BulletApply. We keep your tailoring history, and the people who run BulletApply can view accounts and their data, including resumes, job postings and generated resumes, to answer support requests, fix problems, prevent abuse and make tailoring better.
- To handle payments and credits, and to email you about your account or the service.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
We use these providers to run BulletApply. Each receives only what it needs for its part:
- Clerk: accounts and sign-in.
- Stripe: payments.
- Neon, Fly.io and Vercel: database, API and website hosting.
- Google Gemini and DeepSeek: AI models that read uploaded resumes and rate how relevant each part of your resume is to a job. Your resume and job descriptions are sent to them for that purpose.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States and China. We may also share information when the law requires it, or as part of a sale or merger of BulletApply.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists so you can download your resumes again and so tailoring can improve. When you ask us to delete your account we delete your master resume, tailoring history and generated resumes, except for purchase records we have to keep.
Your choices
You can edit or replace your master resume at any time. To get a copy of your data or delete your account, email us at privacy@bulletapply.com. BulletApply is not meant for anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and for significant changes we will let you know by email or on the site.
